We are the Geilenfeldt’s (pronounced Guy-Len-Felt), Rodney and Bessie. We are originally from San Diego and were married in May of 2000. We have three grown children and our youngest, Otto, lives here in CDA. We moved to CDA in the Fall of 2020 and have been parishioners of St. Thomas ever since.
Rodney is a Division Chief for the Kootenai County EMS System and has been in the Fire/EMS services for over 30 years. Bessie coordinates the Walking With Purpose women’s bible study program at St. Thomas and together we lead St. Thomas’ OCIA program which is such a complete joy for us.
We are both passionate about service and walking with people on their faith journeys...we love serving our community and our parish family! After many years of public service, Rodney heard the call to become a Deacon. This calling came a few years ago while serving on the OCIA team and it became very clear during a Cursillo weekend. We are currently in Diaconate formation with the Diocese of Boise and, God willing, ordination will be in the spring of 2026!
Please pray for us as we are praying for you!
